Truly, truly awful. Crashes and locks up more times than i have had hot dinners, even when switched off in standby for five minutes and will not respond to remote. Remote is clumsy and poorly designed. Software is limited. Box resets when you access ITV interactive/text. Changing the channel and accessing epg reactes slower than the changing of the seasons. Bought one from Argos as a Christmas present and didnt see how bad it was so bought another for parents. What a fool! If its still available just stick well clear DONT BUY IT!

Not to be recommended under any circumstances

The worst box I have ever bought. Crashes constantly, Digifusion are pathetic at sorting any problems, had 3 replacements, each faulty. Stay away!

Truly dreadful as stated before crashes/cuts out. don't buy it even though its dirt cheap. Plus you could cook an egg with all the heat generated. I've now bought a humax pvr9000 and its much better.

Rubbish!! This box has mind of its own, firstly wouldn't work at all with remote then kept switching on and off by itself then it overheated after being on standby for 4 hours!! p.s i've tried two boxes and they were both the same

Never a dull moment with this box! Colour shifting, blank screens, sudden freeze frames or grinding slowly to a standstill, black and white for a while or ... today's new feature... a very loud and constant buzzing noise. For the small periods of time that it has worked, in the 3 weeks since I bought it, I have witnessed some of the poorest quality software known to mankind. The remote control is barely useable. To top it all off, Argos will not refund it. I'm so appalled by the item that I would rather smash it to pieces than have it replaced by the same box. Digifusion enquiries go to Benko according to their website. So that’s two companies I'll be sure never to deal with again.

Do not buy this is the worst freeview box I have seen. Constant freezing, you have to unplug it to get it to work again.

Unlike 'disgruntled' above, Argos took mine back. It's clearly unsaleable product and so they have a legal obligation to take it back irrespective of any footnotes or waivers they have regarding their normal refunds policy. The most immediately obvious feature is that it takes about a second to respond to button presses, but if you're too quick to assume it didn't get it and press another button, it'll eventually do them both. This makes things like the EPG completely unusable. It also claims to support S-video output, but there's no option to enable it in the menus, and it's not enabled by default (another reason retailers are obliged to take it back). The picture on the composite output is appalling. RGB might be alright, but my monitor already has that socket filled. I was going to see if a firmware upgrade helped the responsiveness, but after leaving it on for a while my monitor lost sync (presumably from the box overheating and putting an oscillator out of tolerance) and I had to leave it switched off to cool down before I could get a picture out of it again. That happened repeatedly, and I don't think any firmware upgrade could fix it.

This is the best i've ever seen! You guys must live where there is no signal. What your saying happened to me but when i bought a better aerial that was FREEVIEW and DIGITAL compatable it was fine.

This box is truly awful. The picture quality is shockingly bad, and the same can be said for the sound too.

If your thing is hassle full gadgets than this one is for you. Mine came clearly possessed with an unclean spirit which after 4 days decided to switch the machine to standby leaving me to switch the thing off at the mains more times than I can count, then it decided to switch on and off randomly and just when I was considering looking at the user guide to identify the strange behaviour of the "DigiBox" it then decided to lose all signal and refused to switch on with the ariel connected, It did however switch on when the antenna wasn't in the socket!! Weird!! If crap products with a short operational life that don’t operate to any known laws of electronic programming then this truly is for you, if not then buy something that works. In brief....totally pants, crap, rubbish, awful, a true waste of time and money.

Bought one today for my mother - total crap. Poor software, very slow, frequent freezes then it reset itself. After an hour, remote refused to control it. I have several digiboxes but this one really sucks. Back tomorrow for a refund.

The picture is very bright and clear. In fact, it’s as good as some much more expensive boxes. However having just one SCART is a real bind. So, for that reason choose another set top box which has two SCART sockets.

Truely awful freeview digiboxes. My future mother-in-law decided to buy myself and herself one of these boxes. ITV text is as slow as molasses and crashes the box all the time. The box crashes repeatedly when downloading the EPG at 3am resulting in you having to unplug the power pack every morning... and guess what, you end up with no EPG for any channel... As far as the daytime use goes, if you need exercise buy one of these as you will need to get out of your chair 5 or 6 times a day to reset the box... I've had the full spectrum of crashes... forget the Windows blue screen of death, ive had the digifusion green/pink/white and black screens of death. And I can echo what other posters have said, the box will have fits of forgetfullness and multiple button presses will be ignored for minutes at a time, which are then all dutifully followed 5 minutes later!!!!.... My power pack has finally given up the ghost, probably due to the constant unplugging needed to reset the box. The constant loss of sync between voice and video is annoying and the stuttering does my head in! The 2nd box has also stopped responding to the remote control! BTW, to the poster who said this box is great if we all get a modern digial aerial, well i have a fantastic signal with my new digital aerial and look how bad my 2 boxes are. STAY WAY CLEAR! Off out to buy a TOPFIELD PVR! :-)

Got bought one of these for my birthday. First morning it was fine. Then it started to hang the picture while the audio kept going. I thought it was just a bad broadcast to start with. Now the box is powering on for a couple of seconds then powering off. think I'll go back to my old one which used to hang but nothing like as bad!

I've had this box for a while, and it's never worked perfectly. I've come online tonight to see if I can find a fix for it, but instead I have stumbled upon these reviews and now discover that the box is just a naff product! Needless to say, it will now be heading for a new home in the bin, and I shall be purchasing a better model at the weekend!

Really rubbish! Mine has just crashed and when turned back on it seems to have lost all channels! No tv for me tonight!
