Purchased this Jan 07 for £45 from Woolworths. Great price. Nice-looking phone that feels well built and has a nice "rubberised" feel. No camera. The software is irritating, of course: it's a Motorola. But for such a simple, stylish design, it's worth it even if you do have to read the manual figure out how to work it. However, it does have a fatal flaw as far as I'm concerned: when you get a text message or missed call, the appropriate symbol flashed neon on the outside of the phone. So far so good. Problem is, it only does so for 30mins, and then the display goes blank. This means that if the phone's in your pocket for more than half an hour, you can't tell if you've got a text, etc, by glancing at the phone. You have to open it up and look at the display inside. This parameter can't be modified. It's a strange flaw, because it means you're forever opening the phone to check if you've got messages or missed calls. Without that, it would a 'five'. As is, it scrapes a 'two'.

Have just purchased a Motorola W220. Two questions perhaps someone can help with.

1. It has speaker for the radio, but I can't find anything in the manual about speakerphone for phone calls. Is there a facility?

2. How do I move a number from the phonebook into 'quick dial'. I managed to move my home number into position '1', but can't remember what I did. Nothing in the manual.

Otherwise very pleased with it. Many thanks.
