The organisers of this year's festival were faced with a problem on the goodie-bag front: how to top last year's iPod speakers and booze.
They opted for washing up liquid.
Ecover very kindly ensured that any room service plates needing a bit of a scrub would be done so in an ecologically sound manner, and also gave us a 25p-off coupon for back home. (A guide to greener living also highlighted precisely what said coupon could be spent on.)
Also present was a UKTV Gold thermal mug, reducing the carbon footprint of a cuppa to and fro the EICC. A couple of Chrysalis Music CDs and a Doctor Who season two DVD proved popular, as did a Playhouse Disney interactive family games DVD - something for the interminably long trek back down the east coast main line for the Soho crowd, no doubt.
A condom (orange, although it was initially unclear as to whether that referred to colour or flavour) and inkjet recycling bag were also provided.
