BBC Two and BBC Choice will exclusively air Steven Spielberg's mini-series Taken early next-year, the corporation has announced.

The BBC says a deal has been struck with Spielberg's production firm DreamWorks SKG. The ten part mini-series is billed as "an epic saga that weaves together the stories of three families over 50 years of alien abductions."

Sue Deeks, the Senior Editor of Acquired Series at the BBC said: "Taken is a compelling science fiction drama. We are truly delighted with this acquisition which we know will thrill and entertain BBC viewers."
