Liam confesses he once had feelings for Carla

Despite their previous closeness at the funeral, there is still clear distance between Liam and Maria. Liam is determined to go back to work to try and get back to normal but in doing so, acts hard towards Maria and he leaves feeling guilty.

Over at the factory, Carla is surprised to see Liam at work. He realises he shouldn't be there saying he needs to register his baby's death. Carla wants to go with him but Liam insists he will be fine. Carla attempts some flirty banter but Liam is not interested.

Later, Liam and Maria are attempting to talk about their feelings when they are interrupted by a knock and the door from Carla with a bottle of wine. Liam is angry and slams the door in her face, leaving her standing hurt on the street. Maria is shocked. Putting his cards on the table, he confesses to Maria he did once have feelings for her - how will Maria react?

Fiz is trying to encourage Kirk to eat, worried that he is upset about Maria and the baby. Fiz returns home with some food for Kirk, only to feel frustrated that Julie is already cooking for him. She is even more frustrated when they offer her food to Schmeichel.

Across the road, we are introduced to Audrey's new temp stylist Natasha, as Gail hurries over asking for an urgent hair appointment. Gail explains she needs her hair doing today as she is meeting with her father Ted. Audrey is taken aback by this news, but Gail's plans are almost scuppered when Tina arrives announcing she is moving into David's room and that she never wants to go home to her mum. The evening takes an even stranger twist when Ted reveals the details about his partner's death.
