Liam agrees to give things another go with Maria

As Maria puts her case to a weary Liam, he starts to soften towards her and come round to the idea of them getting back together. He eventually suggests that they should go away somewhere with Ozzy to try and get back on track. Maria is delighted - but unbeknown to her, Liam has one more hurdle to get over before their reconciliation can happen. How is Carla going to react to the news that he is choosing Maria over her once more?

David is surprised when Gail arrives at visiting time with Ted in tow. David realises that his grandfather is no pushover and tells him about life in the institution but can't resist a few digs when he realises Ted is gay. Ted is more than a match for David, however. Once they return from the visit, Ted tells Gail he is leaving. Has Gail's troubled family life frightened her father off?

Kirk tells Julie that he has spoken to Fiz and got an assurance from her that she doesn't fancy him any more. Still anxious to stake her claim, Julie tells Fiz that she and Kirk are going on a romantic night out. Fiz couldn’t be more relieved at the thought of having the house to herself for the night.

Elsewhere, Harry invites Liz out for a drink but she refuses; and Carla gives Rosie a designer bag in a bid to buy her silence.
