5399: Susan collapses

Having struggled to overcome their own emotional trials to get to the altar, Toadie and Steph now endure a series of terrible wedding omens. But the love and support of their friends, Susan and Harold in particular, help see them through their respective bucks’ and hens’ nights.

Susan tries to ignore her illness but her symptoms worsen. When her family intervene to help Susan see that she must make some compromises to her MS, Susan reacts angrily. Rachel is the one who gets through to her, quoting advice that Susan gave her. But proud Susan still struggles with appearing weak in public, and when she practices her reading at the wedding rehearsal, Susan suffers a dramatic collapses.

Alienated Paul finds himself drawn to Kirsten, after her naïve attraction bolsters his flagging ego.
