Fans 'think 'Valerie' is by Winehouse'

The Zutons frontman Dave McCabe has revealed that fans think the band are covering Amy Winehouse when they perform 'Valerie'.

A version of the track was a chart hit for the soul singer and producer Mark Ronson after the original was released by The Zutons in 2006.

The band opened a set for Virgin Radio with 'Valerie' on Wednesday.

McCabe commented after the performance: "I think they see it as Amy Winehouse’s song... but I don’t mind."
