The Australian TV personality, who moved to the US last year, is to host a new chatshow from Los Angeles for digital channel Foxtel.
According to AAP, Rove LA will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will include various celebrity interviews in a one-hour weekly slot.
McManus said: "While it has been great to rest, recharge and get to know LA over the past 12 months, I have really missed the adrenaline rush of a TV studio and doing what I love most."
Foxtel director Brian Walsh added: "[This] unique [series] will see Rove return to some of his comic roots, and will have all the energy and spontaneity of a studio show in front of a live audience.
"Every Australian television network was chasing Rove and I am delighted that he chose Foxtel."
