Johns 'ditched from primetime television'

The Australian former sports star, whose series The Matty Johns Show was aired between 7pm and 10pm on Channel Seven last year, has reportedly rejected the network's offer to move him to a new 10.30pm timeslot.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Johns, business partner John "Singo" Singleton and manager Glenn Wheatley do not want to go head-to-head with Channel Nine's rival programme The Footy Show, which Johns used to present.
Johns said: "Seriously, I've left it all with Singo and Glenn to look after for me. They're talking to Seven at the moment. Singo said to me to stay out of it. Whatever happens, I'll be guided by Singo's advice."
An industry insider predicted that Singleton will be advising Johns to take 12 months off because he feels that it is "too hard" to get good ratings and guests for a 10.30pm show.
