The Australian actress, who is best known for playing Julie Rafter in Channel Seven family drama Packed To The Rafters, is the clear frontrunner to be named the most popular personality on Aussie TV next month.
The managing director of betting website tomwaterhouse.com told AAP: "Gibney won in 2009 and with no Alf Stewart to beat this year, her chances are golden. Packed To The Rafters is the most popular programme on Australian TV and the matriarch of the Rafter family is its most popular personality."
Other stars nominated for the award include comedian Adam Hills, TV presenter Karl Stefanovic, The Circle host Chrissie Swan, Offspring's Asher Keddie and actress Jessica Marais, who plays Gibney's on-screen daughter.
At last year's event, Home and Away star Ray Meagher won the Gold Logie award, while Gibney was named 'Best Actress'.
It was recently revealed that City Homicide star Shane Bourne will be hosting the awards show this year.
The 53rd annual Logie Awards take place on Sunday, May 1 at the Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne. The ceremony will be broadcast on the Nine Network.
