The Australian actress, whose character in Packed To The Rafters was killed off earlier this year, said the fact that she was nominated, together with co-stars Rebecca Gibney and Jessica Marais, is a testament to the show.
Ventoura told the ABC: "I think it's because Rafters is so close to everyone and when my character passed away it felt like they lost a member of the family. It's just incredible to be part of something that people feel so close to and this sort of reinforces that."
Asher Keddie from Offspring and former Neighbours star Margot Robbie have also been nominated for the title.
Packed To The Rafters has received 15 nominations this year, including three male members of the cast being up for 'Best Actor' and Marais and Gibney in with a chance of winning the Gold Logie prize for 'Most Popular TV Personality'.
Comedian Adam Hills, who has also been nominated for an award, said: "It's lovely, I feel part of the industry and part of Australian television."
It was recently announced that Shane Bourne will be presenting the May 1 awards ceremony at the Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne.
