Ali Elphinestone and Esther Rupenovic, two police officers from Tasmania, were eliminated from the Australian reality cooking show after a cook-off against Daniela Pirone and Stefania Muscara.
According to The Age, the pair failed to impress judges Manu Feildel and Pete Evans with their chicken and sauerkraut dish that Rupenovic's grandmother used to make.
Although Evans admitted that the chicken was cooked "beautifully", he said that the flavours were "lacking that punch". He added: "Everything has to be great on that dish."
Elphinstone said that she and Rupenovic entered the competition as "best friends" and are leaving it as "best friends".
In another challenge, Kane Lillywhite and Lee Chan served steamed oysters with an XO sauce. Feildel said that the dish gave him "goosebumps" and that he was "really, really impressed".
Last week, married couple Kelly and Ash Cooke were forced to withdraw from the competition after she went blind in her right eye. The previous week, James and Melanie Maddock were eliminated.
