Damian Atkins and Rachael Peynenborg, who got together on the 2009 season of the Australian reality television show, said that they are looking forward to welcoming a baby boy later this year.
Atkins told Woman's Day magazine: "A lot of people wait to find out what they're having - they always say it's life's last surprise. But for us, finding out that Rachael was pregnant was already a bit of a surprise!"
The unmarried couple joked that their baby will be the "very first Farmer Wants a Wife lovechild". He added: "I guess [we will get married]. That's how it works, isn't it? But we'll get this little fella out first and then we'll work on that afterwards."
Atkins said of Peynenborg: "She's a good sort. [On the show] she seemed a bit more genuine and natural than the others. She didn't seem to try as much."
Peynenborg said: "It's turned out in such a lovely way with such a fantastic outcome. We just hit it off from the beginning and have a really great time together. We share the same sense of humour and the same outlook on life, which makes it much easier."
Last week, Scott Warby and Clare Spark from series four of The Farmer Wants a Wife announced that they had got married. He said: "I am just so happy. My love for Clare is unquestioned, undoubted and I am looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together."
In April, two couples from the latest series of The Farmer Wants A Wife admitted to being "in love", while Brad Crane and Stacie Marmion from the 2009 season got married in September last year.
