The next season of the Australian matchmaking reality television show, which is hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, is scheduled to kick off with a 90-minute special episode next Monday night in the 7pm slot, which will be left vacant when renovation show The Block finishes.
According to the Herald Sun, this series features two contestants from Victoria - a 33-year-old sheep, cattle and cropping farmer called Kev and a 29-year-old wheat and barley farmer named Tim. There will also be four other competitors ranging from 24 to 58 years old.
Rob Hodges and Jo Fincham from The Farmer Wants a Wife 2007 recently welcomed a baby girl. Nathan McClymont and Amanda Ecker from the fifth season married in an intimate ceremony in Western Australia in June, shortly after Damian Atkins and Rachael Peynenborg from the 2009 series announced their pregnancy.
In January this year, sheep and crop farmer Scott Warby proposed to 27-year-old Clare Spark on his Mungindi property after they met on season four of the show.
The first episode of The Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7pm on Monday, August 22 on Channel Nine.
