Anna Hutchison has revealed that she is a tomboy.
The 25-year-old Underbelly actress from New Zealand, who currently stars in TV show Wild Boys, said that she doesn't like wearing "girlie girl" things such as high heels because she is too clumsy.
Hutchison told The Sunday Telegraph: "In real life I am a bit of a tomboy. I like the footy and sports. I am more comfortable in running gear than I am in heels, because I usually trip up in them."
In family drama Wild Boys, which is set in the 1850s, Hutchison plays Emilia Fife, the daughter of a wealthy town mayor. She said: "It's very different to what I did with Underbelly. As actors, you can play a lot of different parts in your career, so I'm really excited about this one."
Hutchison played Matthew Newton's on-screen lover in the 2009 season of crime series Underbelly. Since filming ended, Newton has been in and out of a psychiatric clinic after allegedly attacking ex-girlfriend Rachael Taylor.
Last month, he spoke publicly about his mental illness battle for the first time, saying: "I was all over the place... I was a lost soul. Going to hospital and having that time to get a sense of who I was, it really allowed me to stop and smell the flowers. It really saved my life."
