Media company Fusion Strategy has released a list of what it says are the most disastrous programmes on Australian televisions this year, based on viewer ratings. The countdown includes shows such as The Renovators, Ben Elton Live from Planet Earth and Blue Bloods.
Sports show Between the Lines was cancelled after one month and Top Gear Australia is believed to have been axed this week.
Current affairs series 6.30pm with George Negus also appeared in the list after being plagued with rumours of poor ratings and an "over-indulgent" host.
Steve Allen from Fusion Strategy told the Herald Sun: "This has been a shocking year for TV turkeys and there is still three months to go. Nine [Network] and [Channel] Ten, especially, have had a lot of holes to fill and nothing has been clicking (with the public).''
Other shows in the list include Top Design, Law and Order: Los Angeles, Blue Bloods and Detroit 1-8-7.
Chris Lilley's ABC comedy Angry Boys was also included because it premiered with large audiences of 600,000 but ratings gradually fell throughout the series.
