Channel Ten is reportedly holding auditions for its new morning TV show.

It is believed that network bosses have been testing a selection of their news journalists and weather presenters for roles on The 7pm Project star Andrew Rochford's new series Breakfast.

One industry insider told the Herald Sun: "They went through the newsroom and tried a few faces. Magdalena [Roze], Matt Doran, Lachlan Kennedy and Natasha Exelby are the names I know of."

Roze, who started her television career as Ten's weekend weather girl, said that working alongside Rochford "would be fantastic".

The source also leaked details of the Breakfast set, describing it as a "pale grey studio set-up dominated by a large orange couch".

It is believed that Breakfast will premiere next year.

Ten's head of corporate communications Jeanette McLachlan hinted at schedule changes last July when she said that "all networks continually look at their programming schedules". The axing of music show Video Hits was announced soon afterwards, as well as the revival of Young Talent Time, to be hosted by Rob Mills.
