The Australian entertainment duo, who present 2DayFM's breakfast radio show together, promised fans lots of "fun" with their variety show A Night with the Stars.
Sandilands revealed on their morning show yesterday: "It's a one-off special on Channel Seven at the end of the year.
"We're going to look back over the year at the ups and downs, the celebrity hot topics, who's got married, who's got divorced, who's had scandal, who's had a disastrous year. There will be guests on there."
Jackie O also said that the show, due to be filmed in Los Angeles, would offer viewers some light relief.
She explained: "We're going to have some big stars and reflect on the year that was, and just have fun."
Sandilands and Jackie O were named the 'Best On-Air Team' at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards at the weekend. Hamish Blake and Andy Lee had previously won the prestigious prize for three years in a row.
