Celebrity Apprentice Australia's Max Markson has apologised for branding Didier Cohen a "self-confessed cocaine addict" before they were both fired in last night's episode.

The celebrity agent - who was facing elimination with model Cohen and choreographer Jason Coleman on Tuesday's (November 8) show after a catwalk challenge - said that he only told boss Mark Bouris that he had read about Cohen's drug-riddled past in the papers because he was "clutching at straws" to save himself.

Markson told the Herald Sun: "[I felt like the] devil in disguise. I was clutching at straws to try and stay in because I really thought it would be Jason and Didier on the chopping block, not me.

"Didier is an inspirational young man. In hindsight again I wouldn't have said it. I've apologised to him... I was sorry I did it."

Markson also revealed that he had been hounded by angry fans since the incident, saying: "I'm not worried. If people want to know where I am they can find me easily enough.

"I'm very proud of the fundraising I've done for charity and I've made a lot of people hate me in the entertainment game too."

Cohen later revealed that he has forgiven Markson for the comment, but added: "Sure I did drugs, I drank alcohol, but my charity was Youth Off The Streets because I was one of those kids and I turned my life around."
