A record 3.37 million viewers tuned in to watch real-life couple Polly Porter and Waz Jones being crowned the winners of the reality renovation programme on Channel Nine earlier this year.
The grand finale of Australia's Got Talent was rated the second most-watched show with 2.98 million viewers. The competition was won by teenager Jack Vidgen after judges Kyle Sandilands, Dannii Minogue and Brian McFadden labelled him the next Justin Bieber.
According to the Herald Sun, the first episode of crime drama Underbelly: Razor came in third place, as it was watched by 2.79 million Australians.
Other popular shows included Kate Bracks winning MasterChef Australia, the Melbourne Cup horse race and the Collingwood versus Geelong Australian Football League Grand Final.
Also mentioned in the list were Ashton Kutcher's debut appearance in Two and a Half Men, Downton Abbey and one episode of Packed to the Rafters.
