The former Miss Universe Australia, who recently came third in the first ever Aussie Celebrity Apprentice, has been asked to fill in for weather girl Emma Freedman on Weekend Today for two weeks while she goes on holiday.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the temporary gig is a trial run for 20-year-old Campbell on the Nine Network, with a view to potential future hosting roles.
The model said: "I'm really excited just to fill-in for a couple of weekends and see where it goes."
Campbell raised money for bullying charity The Reach Foundation during her time on Celebrity Apprentice, admitting that she used to be severely bullied at school.
She has since described the experience as a "learning curve".
Campbell was threatened by fellow contestant Deni Hines on the show, with the singer saying: "I might do something to you where you might never model again."
She is now believed to be dating Celebrity Apprentice co-star Didier Cohen after fellow contestant Shane Crawford referred to him as Campbell's "boyfriend" during the final.
