Julie Goodwin, who won the first series of Channel Ten's cooking competition in 2009, has reportedly interested Nine Network producers following a recent appearance on talkshow Can of Worms.
The Herald Sun also reports that popstar Nikki Webster - who sang at the 2000 Sydney Olympics opening ceremony as a teenager - and former criminal Mark 'Chopper' Read are also in contention to appear on the show.
Read has written a number of semi-autobiographical crime novels in recent years. The Time Traveller's Wife star Eric Bana received critical acclaim for his breakthrough role portraying Read in the movie Chopper - based on the books.
Other celebrities who have been linked with The Celebrity Apprentice Australia include David Hasselhoff and model Kris Smith.
A spokesperson for the Nine Network would not confirm any speculation and the full lineup for The Celebrity Apprentice Australia's second series is due to be revealed early in the New Year, just before filming begins.
The first series of the Mark Bouris-fronted programme was won by stand-up comedian Julia Morris.
