The Australian television presenter, who is taking part in weight loss reality show Excess Baggage alongside paparazzo and photo agency owner Lyons, said that his behaviour on the series could lead to impressionable young people thinking that bullying is acceptable.
Rochester wrote on her official Twitter page: "@DarrynLyonsMrP Is a bully! He can hate me as much as he likes but I will always stand up 4 people I care for (lisa)! @TaraReid was right!"
Lyons responded: "hahahha bully you better find out the definition!"
Tara Reid claimed during last year's edition of Celebrity Big Brother that Lyons had bullied her in the house, but noted that the pair left the competition "on good terms".
Rochester also wrote on her official website Finding my Mojo: "Hitler personified hatred by enlisting many others to do his dirty work while people stood by and let it happen. How is it any different when one or many people use their voice and influence to chip away at someone else's self-esteem/career/reputation?"
"Maybe a kid sees bullies on reality TV shows become even more famous and successful and think, 'Well it works for him, everybody loves him [or] her for it, maybe I will be even more popular by picking on someone else'."
Lyons has described Rochester as the "one person [he] can't stand on the show", also telling The Sunday Telegraph: "I am the angry lion of Excess Baggage. I'm just me and I don't make any apologies for that, and people will either take to me or they won't."
Rochester and Lyons are joined on Excess Baggage by contestants including Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline, rescued Beaconsfield miner Brant Webb and AFL legend Robert "Dipper" DiPierdomenico.
Rochester used to host Australian weight loss show The Biggest Loser, but was replaced by sports star Hayley Lewis around the same time that she was caught up in a fraud scandal.
Excess Baggage starts in February on the Nine Network.
