Moran was introduced to the act when original Yellow Wiggle Greg Page had to quit due to health problems, but sources have claimed that he was often "ostracised" from the other members, mocked for his different contract and referred to as the "salaried Wiggle".
Page has now been reinstated to his original role, but various insiders have alleged that Moran was given no warning of his replacement or the chance to say goodbye to his fans.
A source told the Herald Sun: "The tour finished and there was no farewell, no closure, no chance for Sam to say goodbye."
When Page's return was announced earlier this week, it was reported that Moran had "graciously offered to step aside" and was happy to quit in order to spend more time with his wife and daughter.
Wiggles manager Paul Field said that Moran was looking forward to pursuing other musical projects, adding: "We thank Sam for his wonderful contribution to the group for the past five years... we're so grateful for all he has done."
Page said of his return: "This takes me full circle. I'm excited to be back with my friends and to be entertaining our incredible fans again."
