The Sydney nightclub owner, who was immortalised in crime drama Underbelly: The Golden Mile, was reportedly approached by Fremantle to take part in the reality TV show, but declined.
It was previously reported that Ibrahim hoped to take part but had been rejected by producers, but Ibrahim has now claimed that he turned down the opportunity as he did not want to be involved.
His representative told The Daily Telegraph: "Fremantle Media tried to get John involved last year as well as this year and both times he declined the offer. It's just not something he was interested in doing."
"John could not commit to the series, did not attend any auditions or [have] any discussions with Nine or Fremantle Media... his only interest would have been to support a charity."
Stars including David Hasselhoff, Patti Newton, former MasterChef Australia contestant Marion Grasby and broadcaster Ian 'Dicko' Dickson are believed to have started filming 2012's Celebrity Apprentice in Sydney.
