Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have revealed that they want to film a show in Europe.

The Australian comedy duo, who relocated to New York last year for their Gap Year show, said that they would like to film the next series while doing a road trip across Europe.

Lee told the Herald Sun that he hoped it would be a journey similar to their 'Caravan of Courage' tour across the US, but he also revealed that Blake wanted to cross the continent in a Ferrari.

"Somehow, I don't think that will happen but we can only ask," he joked.

The pair are scheduled to leave for their overseas trip in May. The new show will air on the Nine Network in the build-up to this summer's Olympics, allowing Blake and Lee to broadcast one of their radio shows live from the Games in London.

Blake and Lee were previously forced to defend their New York Gap Year series, saying that they didn't care about harsh criticism because they were just having "fun".

Blake explained: "I'm sure critics would love to think it really cuts deep and hurts you, but at the end of the day we are two best friends having a holiday and putting together a really fun show. We do take the fact we're lucky enough to be given a TV show seriously, but it comes down to trusting your instincts."
