The 46-year-old Australian television host, who is best known for presenting The Morning Show on the Seven Network, is rumoured to be the latest celebrity to sign a contract to appear in this year's season of the reality TV series.
Although show bosses have not yet confirmed any participants, The Daily Telegraph reports that Lara Bingle and Brynne Edelsten have already agreed to take part in the show.
Other rumoured celebrity contestants include former soap star Kate Ritchie, Packed To The Rafters actor Hugh Sheridan, the late Steve Irwin's wife Terri and Home and Away actress Rebecca Breeds.
Emdur allegedly signed a new $800,000 (£500,000) contract with Seven earlier this year to retain his role on The Morning Show, despite rumours of the Nine Network trying to poach him.
His co-host Kylie Gillies took part in Dancing With The Stars in 2009, finishing in third place.
