The celebrity chef, who is partnered with professional dancer Alana Patience on the Australian version of the reality TV show, told host Daniel McPherson that he does not like having her bossing him around.
Feildel said: "The problem was that the staff around me, I usually tell them what to do. Suddenly a woman was telling me what to do in front of everyone." He was then booed by members of the crowd.
When he returned backstage, presenter Sonia Kruger joked to Feildel: "[That dance was] brilliant. But what would I know? I'm a woman."
The star later insisted that his comment were just a slip of the tongue, saying: "I didn't even know what I said before I looked and saw [judge] Todd [McKenney] shaking his head at me.
"This time I can blame it on my French accent. I didn't mean it; in fact I quite like being bossed around by women."
On Sunday night, golfing champion Jan Stephenson became the second contestant to leave the competition. The first star to be eliminated was sportsman Nathan Bracken.
