The Australian WAG, who is married to former cricketer Nathan Bracken, said that she almost dropped out of the reality television series after being diagnosed with an ovarian cyst.
Bracken told The Daily Telegraph: "I took it pretty hard and considered leaving the show but had a cry and spoke to Nathan and decided we could manage it. It was an ovarian cyst and it looks like it will be something that will have to be operated on after the show. At this stage it is a benign tumour and they have put me on some strong drugs."
The 29-year-old admitted that she could not have got through the ordeal if it wasn't for her husband, saying: "He has been fantastic. He told me afterwards he was really scared and frightened. But it was his face I saw after the first operation [a year ago] and that will help again."
Haley added that she wanted to use her experience to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. She said: "It might not be cancer but it is important to get on to it early, being aware of the symptoms enabled me to get checked quickly."
Nathan was the first contestant to be eliminated from this season of Dancing with the Stars. The couple later hit back at reports that she had forced him to take part in the contest.
Surf champion Mark Occhilupo left the show at the weekend and said that although he "thoroughly enjoyed" the experience, he couldn't wait to "go back to surfing".
Golfer Jan Stephenson was eliminated from the series last week. She later criticised viewers for voting for US-born socialite Brynne Edelsten over an "Australian" like her.
