The former Miss Universe Australia, who took part in the reality TV series in 2010, took to her Twitter page after Richey joined in the public debate over who should succeed as presenter of the programme now that Sonia Kruger has quit the role.

Richey said earlier this week: "Rachael's a lovely girl. Whether she might be perhaps a little too young... I think you need somebody perhaps with a little bit more maturity but she would still be fine. I'm sure whoever they get will be great."

Finch has now written on the microblogging website: "Life is over before we know it. Enjoy being 'too young' for as long as you can!"

Other celebrities linked to the Dancing with the Stars host role include X Factor presenter Natalie Bassingthwaighte, radio star Fifi Box, breakfast TV host Kylie Gillies and Kerri-Anne Kennerley, who Kruger is rumoured to have ousted from her morning television slot on the Nine Network.

Finch got together with professional dance Michael Miziner during her time in the competition. The couple announced their engagement last year.
