The programme, which launches in the UK this weekend, will be produced by Shine Australia and will air in 2011.
Created by Five controller Richard Woolfe, the show searches for the best musical performance groups. Hosted by Emma Bunton, the judging panel on the Five show features Duncan James, Anastacia, Chucky Klapow and Tamzin Outhwaite.
"I'm delighted that Ten have picked up Don't Stop Believing," said Woolfe. "It is testament to the strength of this unique format that the Australians have already spotted it's amazing potential ahead of the eagerly-awaited debut on Five this Sunday."
Joint managing director of Shine TV, Jamie Munro said: "It is a significant boost to have a green light for an Australian version of Don't Stop Believing ahead of its premiere on UK screens. Shine seeks to work with the best producers in each territory and I'd like to congratulate Shine Australia who are by far the strongest production company in the territory - on securing the commission with Network Ten.
"We look forward to working with our sister company and Ten on this amazing format and help them realise its potential."
The UK version of Don't Stop Believing kicks off on Sunday at 7pm on Five.
