The 39-year-old, who was crowned champion of the reality cooking show last year, said that she is "thrilled" for this year's victor Adam Liaw and runner-up Callum Hann because they have both "won" great futures.
Goodwin told Woman's Day magazine: "I think they're both amazing. Callum is 20 years old. He's got a great future ahead of him. Adam was a stand-out to me throughout the competition.
"I'm thrilled to pieces for both of them because they've really both won. They're both going to go on and have great careers. Adam says that he's going to open a restaurant and I think that Adam does what he says."
Goodwin also said that it was "nervewracking" watching Hann and Liaw compete in the final.
