Jason Coleman, who was a judge on the Australian version of the dance contest that ended last year, said that talks to revive the series are underway.
He told the Herald Sun: "I would love to see it back - I've spoken to [fellow judge] Bonnie [Lythgoe] a few times and she's also keen."
If So You Think You Can Dance does return, Nine Network bosses are reportedly hoping to ask the host of the US version Cat Deeley to take over from former presenter Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who is now a judge on The X Factor Australia.
Coleman is currently taking part in this year's Celebrity Apprentice, together with stars including Pauline Hanson, Jesinta Campbell and Julia Morris. Last week, Lisa Curry slammed him after he "sold her out" in the boardroom.
Curry later said of Coleman: "He's manipulative, playing the game and in it for himself. He will deny all of that, but he set me up. I'm not stupid. He sat there and cried about integrity and honesty and truth - he questioned my integrity and I don't like that at all."
