Natalie Imbruglia reportedly had to intervene when a dispute developed between two of her acts in the Australian X Factor over a group performance that went awry.

India-Rose Madderom and Sally Chatfield, both in Imbruglia's girls' category, fought backstage after Madderom accused Chatfield of "ruining" the live performance, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Chatfield came in early during their performance of David Guetta's 'When Love Takes Over', which caused Madderom to miss her cue.

Imbruglia is said to have told Madderom backstage: "You can't act like this in public."

Madderom later became the next act to be eliminated from the show after being sent home by the judges.

Altiyan Childs is currently the favourite to win the series.
