Bassingthwaighte: 'Motherhood has completed me'

Natalie Bassingthwaighte has revealed that her baby daughter has "completed" her.

The 35-year-old Australian singer, actress and television presenter, who gave birth to Harper in August last year, said that she is easing herself back into work now after enjoying motherhood for a while.

Bassingthwaighte told The Daily Telegraph that she and longtime partner Cameron McGlinchey get very excited when they return to Harper after time apart, saying: "We race each other upstairs to see her. She's so animated and cute. We can't believe we've created this little thing."

The former Neighbours star was recently announced as a new judge on the Australian version of The X Factor alongside Spice Girl Mel B. Ronan Keating and Guy Sebastian have returned to the judging panel from last year.

Former judges Kyle Sandilands and Natalie Imbruglia turned down offers to come back as judges this season, with Sandilands saying that it involves "too much work".
