A contestant from the Australian version of The X Factor has allegedly gone missing.

Homeless former drug addict Tony Tuhoro impressed judges Guy Sebastian and Ronan Keating with his version of U2's 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' earlier this week, but Seven Network bosses now reportedly cannot find him to give him details of the Boot Camp round.

In his episode of The X Factor, Tuhoro revealed that he has lived on the streets since 2007, saying: "That's just the way things have gone. [I'm not] an ice addict any more. The stuff that I was dealing with is not in my life any more. I want to sing."

Keating said of his performance: "In my eyes, you're not homeless anymore. I think that you've got a home at The X Factor because that was great." Sebastian also praised his "connection" with the song.

Tuhoro revealed that he can sometimes be "un-confident" about his singing and, according to the Herald Sun, is thought to be nervous about entering Boot Camp.

Guest mentors for the next round are believed to be pop star Wynter Gordon, The Veronicas singers Jess and Lisa Origliasso, Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes and Mel B's husband Stephen Belafonte.
