The reality TV talent show's judging panel, consisting of Mel B, Guy Sebastian, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Ronan Keating, were forced to cut the top 24 in half in last night's episode.
Declan Sykes, the teenage wannabe singer who recently revealed his battle with autism, was among the favourites to make it through, as were Tyla Bertolli, Andrew Wishart, Jacqui Newland and Reece Mastin.
The other seven X Factor finalists are Christina Parie, Cleo Howman, Mitchell Callaway, Johnny Ruffo and groups Audio Vixen, Young Men's Society and 3 Wishez.

Single mum and cancer sufferer Pamela Cook and former Australian Idol contestant Natalie Colavito, who recently revealed her struggle with weight loss, did not make it through to the next round.
The first live show takes place this coming Monday, with the first elimination to follow in Tuesday night's episode.
X Factor fans recently expressed their outrage when Iraqi warfare victim Emmanuel Kelly was asked to leave the show in the first round of boot camp.
