The group - which consists of siblings Ria, Christine and Ross Pirrelli and is mentored by judge Ronan Keating - were eliminated after singing Queen's 'Somebody to Love' in a head-to-head sing-off with Johnny Ruffo.
Judges Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Mel B and Guy Sebastian's votes made it a tie, so a public vote determined that Audio Vixen would leave the show.
Award-winning Australian singer Vanessa Amorosi gave a special performance of her latest single 'Amazing' at the live show, while Chris Isaak sang Roy Orbison classic 'Oh Pretty Woman'.
There are now eight contestants remaining in the competition. Teenager Reece Mastin is currently the favourite to win the show, especially after Keating told him on Monday's episode that he could leave school because he had such a promising music career ahead of him.
Jacqui Newland was eliminated from the contest last week, while Mel B's other protegée Tyla Bertolli was asked to leave the week before.
