The 40-year-old Australian, who entered the weight loss reality TV show with brothers Damien and Greg and nephew Nathan, said that he is looking forward to a "bright future" after shedding over 40kg.
Joe told Woman's Day magazine: "I was a hard, rigid man before - but now I know my family and I are going to have a huge, bright future. This show will revolutionise my marriage and my family. My marriage is going to totally change. My relationship with my kids will totally change. I've always had a good attitude but I can improve on that."
He also said that he credits trainer Michelle Bridges with his success on the show, saying: "I have so much respect for Michelle. I know she cares about me. She is amazed at the transformation."
Earlier this year, Joe said that he was aware he needed to make some "changes" to his home life.
Since leaving the show, Joe's nephew Nathan revealed a long-lasting rift with his uncle, saying: "We weren't really close before I went into the house. I don't think I'll have a relationship with him after this show. His personality was not something I liked about him."
