The 38-year-old forklift operator from Adelaide, who was on the black team during his time in the weight loss competition, was eliminated from the show after being voted out by his fellow contestants.
Edwards was up against Michelle Cortesao for nomination, but most of the blue and red teams said that they wanted to vote with their "head" and keep Cortesao in the game.
After Edwards was eliminated, The Biggest Loser's heaviest contestant Ryan Preuss burst into tears. Edwards told him: "This is the first time I've seen tears out of your eyes, mate. Start crying for yourself." He then warned all the remaining contestants not to be "complacent".
He then said that he was disappointed to leave because he "wanted to get to know" all the other competitors more, but said that they should "look out" because he will "transform" before the finale.
Edwards later said: "Camp Biggest Loser has been a very big help even though it's only been two weeks. I've opened up in many ways that I never thought I would. Who would have thought I could tow a ferry with a row boat? Who would have thought of me loving complete strangers like family? I'm grateful that I was on The Biggest Loser - it has catapulted me into a new direction."
The Biggest Loser host Hayley Lewis praised Edwards for his "Integrity and honour" during his time on the show.
