The 40-year-old from Sydney, who lost 12.5kg during her three weeks in the weight loss reality competition, made a desperate plea to her fellow contestants before they voted her out of the house instead of Alex Zorzi.
Before the votes were cast, Hunt told the blue and white teams: "I know I still need to be here. I can't do this on the outside. I lost the love of my life and the chance to have a child with him because I couldn't do this. I had the support of my family and my friends and I still couldn't do it for myself.
"Here I feel like I'm in a controlled environment where I don't have the outside pressures. I need to learn about myself and why I do the things I do with food on the outside."
After her elimination was announced, Hunt said that she felt "disappointed" but had "no regrets" and understood that Zorzi "inspires everyone in the house".
She said: "I've had four years of a really difficult journey learning about myself, which is what brought me here. Four years ago I couldn't have brought myself here and put myself on display and been so open and vulnerable to being judged in a situation like this.
"I've learnt that I'm strong and I don't really care what other people think of me - I can be happy being myself. That comes with age and experience as well. It's all been good. It's better than not living... sitting at home eating cheese."
Last week, Shane Edwards left The Biggest Loser, shortly after previously eliminated contestant Selena Brown was brought back into the competition.
