The 32-year-old former sports star, who recently retired from Australian Football League, has reportedly impressed television executives after his tell-all documentary about his battle with drugs.
A Seven Network source told the Courier-Mail: "There's a definite belief he could do it, sure. He was outstanding [at the press conference announcing his retirement from AFL] last week and plus he brings women on board. He has this real James Dean feel to him."
Other favourites to win the role are Dancing With The Stars host Daniel MacPherson, Home and Away actor Luke Jacobz and presenter of the US version of The Amazing Race Phil Keoghan.
