'Australia's Got Talent's Jack Vidgen to crack US music industry

Australia's Got Talent star Jack Vidgen is poised to crack the US music industry.

The 14-year-old singer, who won the Aussie reality television contest last month, said that he is very excited that one of his performances on the show will be aired during an episode of America's Got Talent.

Vidgen wrote on his Twitter page: "Just in! My performance from Australia's Got Talent will be shown on America's Got Talent grand final tomorrow night! Wow! Can't believe it!"

The teenage star revealed that life had been "crazy" since the show finished. He was the target of cyber bullying after some people claimed that he took the credit for writing a song that someone else had created, but he insisted that he had co-written the single and felt "privileged singing it".

Although most of Vidgen's debut album Yes I Am will be cover songs, he recently said that he hopes to write more "inspirational" tracks soon.

Vidgen revealed last week that his dad has multiple sclerosis. "Time with my Dad is so much more precious now because you just never know what is going to happen," he said. "It's very special. I love my Dad very much."
