The Project Runway host, who took over the presenting role on the reality television show when Kristy Hinze quit last year, said that she likes to do her job well but does not make outrageous demands on set as reported.
Gale told the Herald Sun: "I was a bit surprised [at the rumours]. I'm not hard on myself, I just like to fulfil my commitments for my clients.
"I'm a perfectionist. I'm a real nerd. The only demand I make is that I get my script the night before because I'm like a kid cramming for an exam. I like to do my job well. I get paid good money and I want to deliver what people want me to.
"I had such a ball doing [Project Runway]. I've done TV many times before but in terms of hosting and producing and being in charge - it was a three-pronged role. It was definitely more of a challenge but it was great for me. I love to be challenged."
Gale recently teamed up with rival supermodel Jennifer Hawkins to raise awareness of heart disease. Hawkins was believed to be after the Project Runway hosting role after Hinze's departure but lost out to Gale.
