Fans of Australian Project Runway were outraged last night when they missed an all-important elimination.

Viewers tuned in to watch episode seven of the fashion reality television show hosted by supermodel Megan Gale, but missed the last five minutes, including the elimination of Gabby Stephens, due to a technical glitch.

The show's mentor and fashion designer Alex Perry later went on Twitter to apologise to all his angry fans, writing: "Megan Gale, we are experiencing fashion meltdown."

Yesterday, Foxtel told the Herald Sun that they apologise for "any confusion, disappointment or inconvenience caused by this mistake".

The missed episode will be repeated on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and the result of the elimination can be watched online.

After her axing, Stephens said that she had "loved every minute" of her time on Project Runway and was working on the launch of her own fashion collection.

Earlier this year, Gale was forced to hit back at reports that she had become a "diva" on the set of the show. She said: "I was a bit surprised. I'm a perfectionist. I'm a real nerd. The only demand I make is that I get my script the night before because I'm like a kid cramming for an exam. I like to do my job well. I get paid good money and I want to deliver what people want me to."
