If the People journalist who clumsily told Nush that she’d been dumped was hoping to spark off the Scott/Nush dalliance into something more entertaining they must be very naïve or very stupid. This little flirtation was almost stopped dead in tracks on Saturday afternoon by some idiot with a megaphone. Nush was quite naturally distressed by the entire incident, as anyone would be, no matter how fragile their relationship and this irritating meddling did the show no favours.

Jon Tickle, who was put into the house to liven things up, slept through the entire incident. They may as well have put Gos back in.

Jon’s so called game playing is going to rapidly lose him his public appeal. At times it hard to believe it's the same bloke, and no I don't think they've sent his twin in, funny as that would have been.

Jon certainly seems to be playing everyone off against each other but for no fathomable reason other than mischief making apart from presumably a substantial payoff from Endemol. It’s difficult to see what he has to gain from going back in. His attack on Cameron and Steph actually made me feel more protective towards them. Odd.

The latest reward room idea must have had TV execs and perverts everywhere rubbing their, er, hands with the prospect of some hot girl on guy action. What we actually ended up was bizarre in the extreme. The sight of Ray and Cam lying on a double bed, wearing matching dressing gowns and putting on nail varnish was one of the most surreal sights on television this year. Quite what possessed Cam to plaster mascara on his beard I suppose we’ll never know. The pair seemed disturbingly content in this girly paradise. At least they’re in touch with their feminine sides.

The Scott and Nush pairing in the room was never going to be anything special. Nush’s problem is that she just wants a hug from anyone and her attention seeking ways have really come to the fore now, to the annoyance of her housemates. Scott meanwhile may just see his “thing” with Nush as a means to an end, i.e. to boost his popularity for the final vote. He must fear that the break up of Nush’s relationship may have dented his standing with the public. At the moment those fears seem groundless.

Steph’s little strop at Nush being chosen for the reward room was quite interesting. It seemed to be Jon’s comment that upset her the most.

I’ve even less time for Lisa now than when she was in the house. If you thought her comments were dark and filled with vitriol when she was in the house you should hear her poison now. She comes across as a total cow. When asked which housemate should be ousted next, she replied “all of them”. The sad thing about this year’s show is that many of you agree with her on that score. Never have I taken such a dislike to a housemate.

I’ve actually found respect for Tania since her eviction. I never did get to the bottom of why I couldn’t develop a liking for her in the house, but on the outside she has behaved with dignity, unlike some of her former roomies (Justine springs to mind). Her decision not to take part in the vote-a-housemate-back-in saga was definitely well judged. The sight of Fed, Gos, Sissy and Justine waiting to be voted back in was to be honest, quite sad. Sad, pathetic that is.

Jon’s somewhat evangelical re-entry to the house could be in stark contrast to his release, now that his disengaging geekiness has been replaced by his mole in the house persona, complete with his asides to camera. He’s getting on my nerves this time around even faster than he did last. If his loyal fan base turns against him, he may not get a rapturous reception on his departure.

That would be good news for Endemol. The last thing they’d want is for a loser to get a better reception than the poor sap that actually wins the thing.

More soon.
