22.00 - 23.00
Day 64, 22:00 BST
10.00pm: Davina takes us through the evicted housemates and the titles roll.
10.01pm: Davina welcomes us back and gives us the numbers to vote Ray and Cameron to win; there's ten minutes left. Ray again gets bigger cheers than Cameron; Davina calls up the house and tells Scott that he's got 1 minute to gather his belongings. He gets cheered by Cameron and Ray...
10.02pm: Davina leaves the stage as she mentions that there's a lot of girls present tonight, which the housemates hear; Scott hugs Cameron and Scott and runs on ths spot as the three housemates enjoy a group hug. 'Nothing to be worried about', Ray says as the ten seconds count down; Scott leaves the house...
10.03pm: Scott goes up the stairs and leaves to pretty big cheers; he smiles and punches the air before saying hello to Davina. He walks down the stairs and poses for the press, while Davina shows Scott to the girls in the crowd as he gives a thumbs up to them; he looks pretty overwhelmed as he gets shown up to the stage and takes his moment. 'Whey!!!', he says as his family go up the stairs; his name is cheered and he gets cuddled by his brothers and dad. This is very much a manly 'no emotion' greeting...
10.04pm: Scott is shown some posters and banners in the crowd; 'I don't think you'll have any trouble with the women', Davina says as she gives the numbers out for the last time. 'Ray is in the loo? He's probably trying to... oh no', says Davina as Scott laughs at her; 'is Nush single? Oh', he says as Davina takes us to the break.
'Cleverdennis' says: "FIX FIX FIX - how jon ever got voted out, and now scott. Something is terribly wrong with the world!" You said it...
10.10pm: Back for Scott's interview; a clock appears on the screen to count down the final 20 seconds of voting as Scott gets cheered. The time runs out and Scott gets cheered again for his interview; 'all we've said is 'aah!!'' as Scott mentions that the experience is insane. He says that he isn't disappointed not to have won and states that he thought he would go in the first eight weeks; 'he's a nice boy', Scott says about Jon's comment and he's told that no-one in the house had a bad word to say about him. 'I'd rather be a good guy than a nasty guy', says Scott as Davina makes a rather uncalled-for comment about Ray.
10.12pm: Scott tells Davina that he wasn't holding back on saying things but he said that he wouldn't get his tongue too loose in terms of swear words; 'I am who I am - if I have got an opinion I'll share it', says Scott before commenting that the last week without Nush was 'a different week' and they had to struggle on. Nush waves to Scott and we're shown another romantic montage or Scott and Nush to 'We've Only Just Begun'. Scott looks at the screen and seems a bit moved, really as he looks at the action.
10.14pm: Scott rubs his shoulder as he looks at the screen; Davina cheers the kiss and Scott licks his lips and looks a bit moved as the piece comes to an end. Scott gets a cuddle from Davina and Nush has tears in her eyes; 'you make a nice couple', and the crowd agree with Davina. He mentions that he has trouble saying how he feels and 'takes ages to get to the point generally'; Scott says that he'll have a chat to Nush and doesn't want to be drawn later. 'Jon's in love with her', says Davina as she gives Scott advice.
10.16pm: 'I love love and you two are my only hope', says Davina; Scott says that he knew he sleeptalks and he doesn't want to see a montage but we're shown a montage of it anyway, with the help of subtitles. He looks totally bemused and puzzled at this, but laughs at his 'squatting over a mirror' line. 'Everyone does it!', he says as everyone laughs at him; he's told that he's suffering from a condition where he's saying what he doesn't say in the daytime.
10.17pm: Scott says that he would've gone mad with the money, gone on holiday and taken his friends - he doesn't have any plans now as Davina tells him to make a move on Nush. Scott says that he wants to see Ray win and we're shown his best bits. He laughs at his belching and studies the footage intently, laughing on occasions; he looks at Davina and smiles warmly at the end of the piece. He waves again as Davina gets his family onto the stage... and Nush as well; she goes reluctantly as Davina calls her an embarrasing granny.
10.20pm: Davina goes outside to head off to the stage as it's time to see who has won; she gets some voxpops on the way.
10.21pm: OK folks, here we go; Davina calls up the house for the final time and announces that the winner of Big Brother 4 is...
10.21pm: CAMERON!!! Cameron has won Big Brother 4!! He looks totally stunned and gets cuddled by Ray; he looks stunned and shouts 'thank you!!!' as Ray cuddles him some more. 'I knew it', says Ray as Davina goes to get him...
10.23pm: Ray gets his cases and tells Cameron to 'enjoy it!' as Ray's time runs out; he leaves the house to the most enormous cheers and dances before waving to everyone. 'It's mad', he says as he goes to the stairs and throws items out of his case; 'go on Ray!', Davina says as Ray shakes the hands of his supporters as he leaves the stairs; 'oh my God', he says as he poses for the photos. He goes to see his mates in the crowd; 'you're a f***ing legend', his mates say.
10.24pm: Ray gets the Irish flag and goes to the middle of the stage wearing an Irish cap; he gets a huge huge cheer and waves the Irish flag as Davina shows his family up the stairs to greet him very very warmly. Ray asks 'how is everybody' as his father picks him up and he punches the air; an extraordinary reception. 'Ray has missed out by a whisker', says Davina - we'll wait to get the figures... C4 go to an ad break.
So Cameron is the winner - didn't you just know it? There are doubtless many things to be said for and against his victory, but if you believe that BB winners reflect the show they've been in, perhaps there's no more fitting winner of BB4 than Cameron Stout.
10.30pm: OK, it's time for Ray to be interviewed; he puts his arms up after getting cheered. 'He is nervous as hell and he's brilliant', Ray says about Cameron as he puffs his cheeks; Ray says that 'it's a lot to take in' without booze. He's asked how he'll be remembered; 'my butt and me losing my head', says Ray as Davina tells him he's excitable. We're shown a compilation of Ray's caring moments, I think this is... 'F***ing w**kers!', makes him laugh as we're shown Ray wearing profusely and his temper showing itself, which makes him laugh in embarrassment.
10.32pm: Ray shakes his head in disbelief and cheers as Davina states that they loves Ray's outbursts as 'they were honest'; he says that he thought BB was very harsh due to tasks, and Fed confesses to stepping out of the pedallo. 'Rules is rules', says Davina as Ray mentions that he was shocked when Jon was got brought back in; 'fair play Jon, you had us all', he says before commenting that he gave as much as he gave and didn't hold back. He mentions that their lack of sugar was getting to them and the staples 'were crap'.
10.34pm: Ray again comments that the staples were crap but he won't swear; Davina laughs as Ray mentions that he'll get remembered for his body. We're going to be shown Ray masturbating and the accompanying headlines; his 'well hung' Tania comments and he laughs at Graham Norton's skit. 'Oh my God', says Ray and he laughs at Gos telling him 'stop w**king!'; Ray says that he didn't really, but we don't believe him. Davina tells Ray to ask whether they want them to show a piece of footage that shows his penis size; he won't.
10.36pm: 'I have seen it and it's good', says Davina as Ray laughs embarrassedly; 'you can see it on the DVD', Davina jokes. Ray talks that he would've given money to Great Ormond Street as he used their name in vain, and he will have 'a good session' tonight drinking with his friends and family; we're shown his best bits.
10.37pm: Ray continues to laugh embarrassedly at the 'well hung' comments and the 'f***ing bitch' comments; he laughs at frightening the girls, and continues to smile and laugh at his best bits. He nods to the 'best time of me life' and he says that he's enjoyed it; Davina cuddles him and his family and friends all come up to greet him. Davina shows us Cameron 'thinking' in the lounge and she'll be going into the living room to interview him after the break.
We've got the voting result - Cameron 57.5% (1,928,570 votes) and Ray 42.5% (1,428,231 votes); that means that the grand total of votes is about 4.3 million votes, I think, which is almost half of last year's total. Perhaps the vote was closer than we thought, but Cameron's still won by a pretty big half a million votes.
Sorry I can't put any e-mails up now, but there isn't time enough; they'll all go up at the end of the show.
10.43pm: Back to the action; Davina is at the house doors. 'I'm going in the house', she says to a cheer and she does go into the house. 'This is insane!', Davina says as Cameron cheers and gets a massive hug; he looks stunned. Davina tells him where to sit and Cameron says 'look at you'; Davina apologises for Ray's sound, and tells him that he's she's not 40. 'I am 29', she says - he cringes and smiles; Cameron tells Davina that his winning is 'totally alien' and he kept thinking 'this is no' right'. You bet it's not, mate.
10.45pm: Cameron tells Davina that his big secret is 'a nasty thing'; one of the housemates expressed disgust that BB didn't give them cigarette. 'You should've thought about that before you came in the house', he says about Lisa. He laughs wildly as Davina talks about the 'windpipe' comment and he can't wait to see Lisa; he says that Steph is 'lovely' and Davina gets given some pie.
10.47pm: Yet another romantic montage is shown on the plasma screen; it's Steph and Cameron. 'Ah!', he says and looks totally flabbergasted to the Steph comments and smiles widely throughout as we're shown Steph being cuddled by Justine and equally as happy. He smiles and puts his hand over his face, while Cameron laughs after being shown Steph on the screen; 'time will tell', Cameron says and mentions that she'll get invited to the Orkneys.
10.48pm: Cameron tells Davina that he's a 'magnified version' of the person he came into teh house, and we're shown a montage of his conservative Christian moments, I think, which include the trip to Africa; he looks very moved and then perks up and looks stunned as he sees the trip. Then the new Cameron comes back and he looks totally amazed and stunned, he laughs, cringes and shouts 'oh no! I never said that!'; he mentions that before he went into SA he started to relax, and the Africa house made him more relaxed as they were.
10.50pm: Cameron tells Davina that he didn't think he was too judgemental and relaxed when he was nominated; the SA trip 'was a catalyst' and Davina laughs at him and Steph again. She mentions that there are hundreds of women queuing up to marry him and there were some on BBLB; Davina states that the pie is very good. Cameron is shown Ellen MacArthur, who he really admires; he looks stunned as he sees her message. 'She's amazing', says Cameron as he looks stunned and shakes his head. 'That's unreal', he says.
10.52pm: Cameron tells Davina that he wants to see his mum, dad and brother who are here; his brother pulls a face to the camera. His best memories were the cabaret, Africa and Christmas day were his best bits; 'you've been a pleasure to watch', Davina says and takes Cameron to the stairs.
10.53pm: Davina takes Cameron up the stairs and he leaves the house, jumpes and punches the air as fireworks are let off around the house; he looks stunned, close to tears and tries to take it all in as Davina leads him down the stairs to big cheers. He whoops and the fireworks continue to explode as Cameron shakes hands with the crowd; he goes ballistic as he poses for a picture, and his tells his family to get up on the stage. He cries as he cuddles his mum and brother; Cam's name is cheered.
10.55pm: The ex-housemates cheer Cameron's name as Cameron cheers again; 'you've been such a great contestant and have been really fun to watch', Davina tells Cameron as he shakes his head in disbelief. He's shown his best bits on the big screen and he dances along to the music before cringing at the 'windpipe'; he looks totally stunned and cringes before being listening hard at the pieces. He laughs at the 'I can't wait until I get married' sex comment and listens hard again as the piece comes to an end with Cameron leaving the house.
10.57pm: Cameron is shown towards the screen to show the crappy graphic of £70K going from BB to Cameron's account; he'll donate some money to the church, he'll take his mum and dad to Chicago and pay for his brother's bathroom. Davina calls the housemates onto the stage, and they all cuddle him - even Jon! More fireworks explodee as Cameron gets cuddled by all of the housemates and Davina closes the show; she wonders whether Cam and Steph or Scott and Nush will get it together and says 'GOOODNIGHT!!!' to close the show.
10.59pm: Cameron continues to be cuddled by all of the housemates as more fireworks explode; a quote of his about winning accompanies shots of the house lights being turned off, and Big Brother 4 comes to a close.
So, Big Brother 4 is over - for some, not a moment too soon. However, we're going to keep our live updates open for a little longer to receive your e-mails, so if you have any thoughts - good or bad - on Cameron's victory, or summings up on the series in general, send them to us on the form above and we'll put them up.
Tommy Graham: "Something fishy is going on and I'm not just meaning Cameron either. If Ray does'nt win then I agree with 'cleverdennis' FIX FIX"
Jeff in Seattle: "Great, a rather uneventful season of BB, and in a year's time, no one will even remember the forgettable winner. From day one, I had Ray picked to win. How can they allow bookies and betting on a show where C4 can totally manipulate the outcome?"
Sam Vaughan: "What alot of rubbish"
Rory: "i wish ray had one, he stirs the house and is irish. Cameron was much more boring and always read his beloved bible. ah well what can you do!"
Gerry: "Cameron Stout will be the first winner to be greeted by boos, just shows what a crock CH4 highlights show has been compared to those of us who saw Cameroons real side which got edited out of the 10pm shows." Can't say I heard many boos - perhaps everyone just couldn't be bothered to do it.
Lynne: "och NOOO. Please tell me its a nightmare, he can't have won. If he has a drink now, can he really claim that he has been himself in the house"
Rory again: "AND BIG BRO IS OVER, this series weren't as good as the others, but anyway can't wait till the next, hopefully there'll be Sex and loving in the house! :D" I dare say that there may be a few people who want to wait a very long time for the next BB to come - by the way, I didn't notice that the ads were messed up.
Ciaran Gallagher: "Ray rules! He's mad. He's the one that livened the house up from boring Scott, Lisa and other bores!"
John: "Sigh. That was a waste of electricity! Ray got far more cheers and clapping compared to Cameron. We could even hear him speaking to Davina clearly on the stage :-(." Indeed - the sound quality was appalling for much of the second show.
Keegan: "BIG BROTHER 5 must have HoH like the U.S but still the public votes out the nominees. This means alliances will form, bitching starts, arguments, tantrums...... LIKE BIG BROTHER 3!!! Come on, HoH MUST be introduced!!"
Alex Smith: "What really summed it up for me was after the final, we switched over to E4 and stuck the interactive on. The caption read "15 minutes" ago, and once the adverts were over the house action returned .... to a shot of the chicken coop in the darkness.
On another note, 64 days they've had to get their sound working properly yet they just can't seem to find a microphone that actually works. Amazing."
Lastly, Nick says: "Lets hope that Big Brother do a bit more homework on the choice of contestants next year in Epsom. It was interesting to watch the desperate measures they went to half way through to save this years show. Or maybe it's had it's day..."
... and on that note, let us thank you for all the e-mails you've sent to the Live Updates section, which have ensured that we've still had something to talk about even the house action didn't.
It's also time for us to close DS:BB's coverage of Big Brother 4, which has comprised 482 news articles, 166 column entries and 637 hours of live updates.
Even if you haven't enjoyed the show itself, we hope you've found our service useful and informative, and it's kept you up to speed with the house action over the course of BB4.
So, from myself, Neil, Beth, Dek, Jason P, Emzi, Nathan, Dianne, Ali, John, Simon, Steven, Daniel, Mark, Kris, Darryl and Kiera, thanks very much indeed for coming to the site over the last 64 days.
