The latest news snippets and gossip from the house...

  • Belinda gave Rebecca a pep talk, telling her to believe in herself. "I think I'll be alright," Rebecca replied. Belinda then told Mario she was going to give him a pep talk, but didn't think he needed it. She said it was an "extraordinary" achievement to get into the house and added that she would miss whoever was evicted. "It's difficult, isn't it?" she noted. "Goodness me."
  • Dale and Belinda chatted about the new housemates, with Belinda noting that there weren't any stereotypes. "They haven't got an archetypal blonde, have they?" she added. "There's a round theatre person, an elegant model and funky cute Sara."
  • Maysoon and Dale discussed life outside the house. Dale said he was "done" with university, and asked Maysoon what she planned to do before adding: "I suppose you're quite settled, aren't you?" Maysoon revealed that although she loved modelling, she would like to try something new such as Bollywood. She explained that she didn't like the "empty time" that comes with modelling.
  • Stuart and Dale continued to be paranoid about the significance of the Big Brother 'shattered eye' and the layout of the house this afternoon. Stuart said: "There's got to be a split somewhere. There's two different eyes, two parts to the house, two different bedrooms..." Dale agreed, saying: "It's got to mean a house at war."
  • As they practised for the musical task, Kat told Luke that he was "lucky" because she really loves the feeling of the first kiss. "First kiss? There was no first kiss," Luke replied. Mohamed joined the conversation, saying that Luke and Bex could now get a magazine deal. Kat went on to say that the kiss was the first success from her dating agengy "Cookielove.com".
  • Rebecca said she could work on children's television, causing Michael to suggest she could be the next Blue Peter presenter. However, the other housemates were unconvinved. "The first part is right, blue," joked Mario. The group then began to name other blue items, including flames, Viagra, and Smarties. Michael said you couldn't get blue Smarties any more, but Dale told him they had been reintroduced.
  • Michael told Rebecca that she would be "harangued" when she went to nightclubs. "Everyone will be your best fan," he added. Lisa then noted that when she and Mario went to the airport, people often took pictures of them because they thought they were famous. She said an old lady had mistaken her for Posh Spice, and she had also been confused with Nancy Dell'Olio.
  • Belinda and Mario discussed aging. Belinda said there would be more and more old people in society, and talked about her mum. "There's something quite nice about the fact she's just embracing oldness," she smiled. Mario said men looked better as they aged, whereas women lost their beauty. "Do you not think people get more beautiful as they grow older gracefully?" asked Belinda. "They're being who they are."
