Rex was left grinning this evening after his girlfriend appeared in the identity parade as part of this week's task.
Having been worried about the perception of his behaviour on Big Brother, Rex was assured of his girlfriend's devotion when Luke and Lisa left the task room to reveal that they had stood in front of her.
After recovering from the initial shock, he stated: "I'm speechless. How am I going to sleep tonight?"
Many of the housemates pointed out that even if Luke and Lisa had failed to identify her, Rex could be sure that his girlfriend supported him and would be there when he left. "I can't believe she was in that fucking task room," he added.
Stuart told the group: "That makes me want a girlfriend so much. It makes you think about how much stuff is waiting for you on the outside."
Housemates were clearly excited by the evening's events, with Kat admitting that she would not have coped if she had done the task herself.
Everyone was in agreement that it was an amazing thing for Big Brother to do, with Rex stating: "I've never been so happy. I'm in love with [Big Brother] doing that."
Sara hoped that it would make him want to stay, saying. "I like having him around. Now he knows that she loves him."
Maysoon described it as "the best indirect message ever", while Luke said it was an "unbelievable task".
